Jan, your hostess Welcome to the Scrap 'N Dream web site, I would like to introduce myself and give you a little bit of information on myself and Scrap 'N Dream.  My name is Jan and I am the mother of 2 happily married daughters and a grandmother of 3, a girl and 2 boys. I have a degree in Business from the University of Illinois.

I began scrapbooking in the mid 1990s to make a special gift album for my husband who had been paralyzed in a home accident.

My love for scrapbooking became a new part of my life and I have completed over 150 albums for myself, family and friends.

I have taught classes at local scrapbook stores, including Peddler's Den in Somonauk, where I am a member of their Design Team, Remembrances in Oswego, Camp Memory Makers for Memory Makers Magazine, Scrappers ER, Midwest Scrapbook Association, Creative Memories constultants and appeared on the PBS TV show, Scrapbook Memories.

We have Scrapbooking Extravaganzas scheduled for both the Spring and Fall! You don't want to miss them, take a look at how much fun stuff we have planned! All my classes are original and unique designs for scrapbook layouts, gift projects and greeting cards.

I am also a Memory-Works consultant. Memory-Works offers a wide variety of fine papers, embellishments and high quality scrapbooking accessories from the top manufacturers of scrapbook materials.

I used to go to hotels for the weekend to relax, scrapbook and rejuvenate. There are so many interruptions at home; the phone, kids, chores, work and more work.  My weekends were a fun way to get some serious scrapbooking done, but the cost of hotels, food and travel got to be very expensive.

So I decided to use my many talents (I also love to entertain and cook) and my passion for scrapbooking to open a weekend retreat for other people with the same desires.

Scrap 'N Dream went from an idea to a joyful reality, where everyone could enjoy a weekend away for a fun, stress free, nonstop cropping party at an affordable cost.

It doesn't matter if you come with friends or come alone and make new friends. Remember the "Slumber Parties" from your teen years, where you stayed up all night with friends and giggled, laughed, shared secrets and had fun?  Well, a weekend at Scrap 'N Dream is a lot like that but you add in the element of scrapbooking. You'll have a weekend of lots of fun and get some serious scrapbooking done.

I continue to teach classes at my weekend retreats and also have another special friend, Julie, of CTMH and TLC, who shares her talents of incorporating stamping into scrapbooking.

Recently, Scrap 'N Dream was featured on the PBS television show "Scrapbooking Memories" in a segment on Scrapbooking Careers.

The angel on my web site is for my angel friends, who are watching over and guiding this endeavor.

I hope you will visit Scrap 'N Dream soon.
Until then,
Happy Scrapping:
Jan
